Course: Grand National is part of Alabama’s Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail. Our facility includes 54 holes, including two championship golf courses, an 18 hole par 3 course and practice facility. The Lake course greens were renovated in 2011 from bentgrass to Champion ultradwarf bermudagrass. The Links course has bentgrass greens, and the Short course Tifdwarf.
Duties: Maintenance and repair of all irrigation components. Requirements: Golf course irrigation experience preferred. Experience with TORO irrigation equipment and components preferred, but not required. Must have experience operating, repairing and maintaining all components of a golf course irrigation system. Must have the ability to troubleshoot electrical problems and other irrigation issues.
Candidates must have a positive attitude, a strong work ethic and work well with others. Must be self motivated, have a good eye for detail and take pride in his/her work. The ability to finish tasks in an efficient manner is a necessity. Must be willing to work long hours when needed, including weekends. Must assist with non irrigation related tasks when asked. Must have good time management and priority skills. Salary: Depending on experience
